m.a.c. Paran Consulting Services, Inc. is lead by our Certified Industrial Hygienist with 30 years of experience in performing comprehensive industrial hygiene projects. Our expertise covers a wide range of occupational environments including general industry, construction, and healthcare. We typically begin with a walk-through site survey designed to identify and prioritize health and safety concerns, relating to both regulatory compliance and employee protection.
Our surveys can be comprehensive or focused and include initial evaluation and review of:
- record keeping
- written programs
- personal protective equipment
- electrical safety
- fall protection
- slips, trips and fall hazards
- confined spaces
- radiation exposure
- chemical storage and inventory practices (Hazcom)
- emergency action plans
- blood borne pathogens and first-aid
- ergonomic concerns
- indoor air quality
- welding safety
- heat and cold stress
- employee exposures (lead, asbestos, solvents, etc.)
- other identifiable "potentially hazardous" practices or equipment design
After the initial site review, a second survey is typically required to further evaluate programs, and quantify the extent of potential exposures and hazards. This phase may include personnel exposure sampling, in-depth records review, job hazard safety analysis, and air quality measurements.
Next, a written report is developed that details our findings, recommends and prioritizes remediation, and determines employer's cost exposure. Not all assessments entail every phase; we are often called in to provide specific information on individual parts of an employer's comprehensive health and safety program.
