Lead Management

m.a.c. Paran Consulting Services, Inc. has aggressively developed its expertise in the lead management field. Beyond meeting the educational requirements for managing lead, m.a.c. Paran has invested the necessary time and energy to become proficient in all areas of lead management.

To provide immediate lead-based paint sample results, we utilize portable X-ray fluorescent (XRF) detectors. XRF detectors are direct-read instruments capable of providing on-site analysis of lead content in paint, an invaluable tool for the client managing a potential health risk.

We have divided our attention to four distinct areas of lead management:

Lead Inspection: We are proficient in conducting complete lead inspections for the residential, commercial, or industrial client. The inspections include lead-based paint, soil, dust, and water. It answers the question "Where is the lead?"

Lead Risk Assessment: We have trained our staff to determine the magnitude of the health risk based on our inspection findings, with focus on the condition and location of lead sources as they pertain to the exposed occupants. After the risk has been identified, we develop cost-effective control options. We answer the question "Where is the source of lead exposure, and how do we minimize it?"

Elevated Blood Lead Level Investigation: We are often contracted to identify lead exposure hazard sources and to design remediation for structures housing individuals with confirmed elevated blood levels. This investigation incorporates aspects from both the inspection and risk assessment. It answers the question "How can we protect the confirmed 'at risk' occupants?"

Lead Abatement Management: We have managed numerous lead abatement projects. Our services include developing remediation specifications ensuring contractor compliance with regulatory guidelines, air sampling, surface dust wipe sampling, soil sampling, clearance determination, and final written report development. Our goal in conducting this phase is answering the question "Is the remediation being conducted safely?"
